"How do you connect A Dreamcast keyboard to a PC?"
"Do it yourself""Nobody's implemented it.""Why would you want to do that? Just get a $10 USB keyboard."
None of you shitcobbles deserve an Internet connection.
@Jo Don't forget "[Long list of instructions for how to connect a different kind of keyboard to an OS that you aren't using.]"
... and now I made myself sad.
@Crash Oh gods
@Jo trying to play typing of the dead properly on emulation?
@debugninja No, just that there are plenty of adaptors out there for controllers from most of the major systems, so why not a DC one?
Plus it's kind of a nice form factor.
@Jo despite this idiocy did you find a good solution?
I have a couple of DC keyboards myself and would be genuinely interested to know 🙂
@bobstechsite No luck yet.
@bobstechsite @Jo seems like the "nobody implemented it" jerk might have a point. Still, it's a keyboard.. should be possible to build a makeshift USB adapter with an Arduino.
... now I wish I had one of those keyboards to play with
Just stumbled on this thing: http://www.raphnet.net/electronique/dreamcast_usb/index_en.php
@polychrome so did I on an archived subreddit.
I saw @Jo's "zip it!" emoji and assumed this meant she didn't want to receive suggestions of varying quality from me 😅
@bobstechsite @polychrome I never considered that people would interpret it like that.
@Jo DIY idea: keyboard mod, a little electric shock every time they take to the keyboard to say something.
