The flak that Fedilab rightfully got wasn't simply because the developer didn't block Gab.
It was because after he publicly blocked Gab and basked in the praise for doing so, it turned out he was only covering his own arse and then CHOSE TO REMOVE THE BLOCK when he figured he was safe from the wrath of the app stores.
If that isn't the sign of a broken moral compass to you, I don't know what to tell you.
And spare me that shit about FOSS not being political before you even _start_.
FOSS is inherently political. The drive to break free of propriety software is itself a political motivation.
