Star Trek: Picard S2

Hold up.

President Hansen's husband is played by Isa Briones' real-world father? O.o

Star Trek: Picard S2

Oh, hey, an episode directed by Beverley Switzler.

Star Trek: Picard S2

Rick & Morty exists in the Star Trek universe.

Process that, if you can.

Follow

Star Trek: Picard S2

Well, this Borg Queen seems wittier and bitchier than her predecessors.

Star Trek: Picard S2

That explains why Picard sounds so English for a French man.

Star Trek: Picard S2

And there's the bus punk. :blobrofl:

Star Trek: Picard S2

Shouldn't Guinan have recognised Picard, though?

Star Trek: Picard S2

"What does the yellow light mean?"
"Go really fast!"

Clearly Raffi has seen Starman. :blobrofl:

Star Trek: Picard S2

Apparently Tracy Torme exists in this universe too.

Star Trek: Picard S2

Gary Seven is still canon, then. :blobcheeky:

Star Trek: Picard S2

Dr. Vasiliy Rozhenko, really? :blobfacepalm:

Star Trek: Picard S2

That was an unexpected musical number from Jurati. O.o

Star Trek: Picard S2

Isn't that Gaius Baltar?

Star Trek: Picard S2

"You didn't even say the good swear words!"

Priorities, kid. Priorities.

Star Trek: Picard S2

Twice now one of the crew has ended up in cuffs.

Star Trek: Picard S2

Don't tell me this FBI agent is from Carbon Creek. :blobglarenervous:

Star Trek: Picard S2

Kind of grim copying your dead friend into the Emergency Combat Hologram, but I guess that worked in Jurati's favour, huh?

Star Trek: Picard S2

Starting to think the Soong line might be more trouble than it's worth. :blobneutral:

Star Trek: Picard S2

Kind of an amusing touch that the mercs that the queen hired are using laser sights in much the same way as a full drone.

Star Trek: Picard S2, grim death by transporter

JFC, what a way to go: transported _into_ the chateau's walls. :blobgrimace:

Star Trek: Picard S2

"Did my donation not buy me five minutes of facetime?"

That's not how donations are supposed to work, Soong, you dildo. :blobglarenervous:

Star Trek: Picard S2

There's that fucking Torme book again.

Star Trek: Picard S2

"Project Khan"? :blobgrimace:

Star Trek: Picard S2

@Jo That's... Impressive

Star Trek: Picard S2

@Jo

I love Unimatrix-01 as a character concept (much as I love Unicron from the Transformers universes.)

The simple, but mind-bending idea that in every universe, given enough time/development, reality will produce Unimatrix-01. It's one of my favorite Trek elements.

Star Trek: Picard S2

@Jo I was confused about this at first but I think it's because Time's Arrow didn't happen in this timeline? Or the writers just forgot lol

Star Trek: Picard S2

@careth That actually makes sense tbh.

Star Trek: Picard S2

@Jo I really wondered about this but it's deliberate apparently. Because in this timeline TNG didn't happen, so that whole time travel thing with them didn't happen either.

I have a lot of gripes with Picard S2 but this point seems fair. 😁

Star Trek: Picard S2

@mike @Jo Oh, wow, I totally missed that TNG didn't happen in this timeline, I assumed that was why Picard knew Riker et al in S1?

Oh. Oh god. If they went back in time and started yet another timeline where TNG didn't happen but Vulcan and Romulus are still around, my safeword is "clementine".

Star Trek: Picard S2

@bipolaron @mike The events of TNG still happened as of S1. In S2, Team Picard (for want of a better name) has been pulled into a new timeline created by Q after an encounter with the Borg in the original timeline led Picard to self-destruct the new Stargazer and take everyone with it.

If anything, I expect a return to that original timeline.

Star Trek: Picard S2

@Jo @mike Ah, okay. Sounds like I should wait to watch XD

re: Star Trek: Picard S2

@Jo Yes. That was my thought when I watched that episode too. :D
